I know the mangaka, she's been writing this for what... 10 years now? She has a tendency to not give an ending to her stories, it just goes on and on.
The anime makers know this as well, so they stopped making the anime, until the end of the series.
And my fav pairing was Sess/Kagome.
Totally agree with you on Takahashi's writing style, though; excellent plot weaving, but IT NEVER ENDS! Some people have given up on IY for that very reason. IT IS STILL GOING ON BTW, if you are curious.
Anyways, just stopped by a familiar name on IJ; only wanted to comment somewhere on your journal to tell you not to be surprised if I friend you. I don't know what you will get out of being my "friend" as I am a bit slow on the journal uptake these days, but in the best possible scenario ( a 10% chance of success, that one) I will have ONE fic written up (eventually). So I was going to give you the chance to refuse while the deed hasn't been done (haven't friended you yet, wanted to give a warning first). Basically to keep track of an interesting person.
Oh, and going back on a further "discussion" (I think it was 2 posts long^^), it is very difficult to show sarcasm correctly online. At best it gets misinterpreted. And at worst, there are people who just don't have a sense of humor, so any attempts are useless and you are better off spotting those people before committing yourself to a useless task.
(Well, this post will be long, won't it?^^)
As long as you are legal, I don't mind.
Even though my journal, is basically, well, my journal with snippets of fandom related... I still like to cover my bases. ;D
I figure a warning is enough to let people know. ;D

I am so legal that if Snape gave me detention, (and by that I mean *coughs* "detention"), it wouldn't be chanslash even by Australian standards.
