A River's water of thoughts

I think the U.S. just lost the bronze medal in the Men's Team Gymnastics...

We were leading in first half then China came in, Japan fumbled, and then were fighting for Silver. Unfortunately, the last routine for the U.S. is the pummel horse, their Achilles heel, one guy got a 12.7, 12! Another a 14. Our last guy pulled off a 15.

Now Germany is chasing them for the Bronze.

Update: Unbelievable, Germany faltered and the U.S. was able to keep the Bronze, which considering we lost the Hamm brothers, this was a win with a capital W. China completely won the Gold and they really deserved it. They had an unbelievable routine.

Michael Phelps just won another gold medal. It was incredible.

And the other guy I like, South Korea's Park Tae Hwan picked up the silver. I love this kid (he's 18), he bombed at Athens, he got disqualified for a false start and that was the end of his first Olympics. It could have been a career ending move, but this year he came back and won gold in the in the race he was dq'd for and has picked up a silver as well in the 200m.

Peter Vanderkaay, the other American rival of Phelps, picked up the bronze. I'm loving these games. I just wished I didn't miss the basketball game and that the Tennis matches were on NBC and not MSNBC. That pissed me off, NBC showing daytime shows instead of the Olympics.

The U.S. beat the fast-talking mouthing French by 8 hundredths of a second in the Men's 400m relay!!
