It's official....I need to read the Bible

Who else knew that King James was gay or had a gay lover in addition to his many wives?

I was reading this on huffingtonpost when I read this, "The religious right pretends that the Bible says marriage is between one man and one woman. But that is a bald faced lie. Have any of these people ever read the Bible? The Bible is full of men taking on second wives, servants, prostitutes and concubines. And all the while, God heartily approves. How many wives did King David have? Eight? Twelve? Let alone his possibly gay lover, Jonathan.

Read this and tell if that is not out and out a love confession?
"When David had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was bound to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul."[2] That same day, "Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul" [3]; then he " stripped himself of the robe that he was wearing, and gave it to David, and his armour, and even his sword and his bow and his belt."[4]

...

They argue that the books of Samuel do not actually document physical intimacy between the two characters, so Biblical commentators usually eschew the issue of homosexuality and write off David and Jonathan as a case of male bonding and homosociality. It must be said, however, that the clear preference expressed by David in 2 Sam 1:26 for Jonathan's 'love' (for him) over the 'love' of women (for him) remains a thorn in the side of the mainstream interpretation.

Come on people, we slash Harry, Draco, Snape, Lucius, etc with less ground to work on than this. I wonder if I would go to hell for reading/writing fanfic slash on the bible?

...well if God approved of David and Jonathan...I'm sure he won't mind me. ;d

So what do you guys think?
Am I right? Am I wrong? Am I going to hell?

And how can we use this against the Prop 8 hatemongers? Fighting bible verses of discrimination with bible verses of love and death...I like that. ;d
