*whine*

School starts next monday.

I'm unsure if I want to take the Intro Publishing course in person or Online. Online is a combo course with communications and so far it has five people signed up, but all for the communications course. The in person version is only for grad students and five people have signed up for that.

Both of my courses are night courses, Monday and Wednesday. I go in for class a little before four and get a little before seven.

*sighs*

I have to drive in for my internship anyways and maybe I can meet people in the course and it looks like my co-intern will be there as well. But *sighs* I'm not sure what I feel about this semester. Not as much excitement as last year.

I'm not sure what I want anymore.

Maybe to try my hand at writing...but I haven't written anything lately. I have been planning things out, thinking things through.

I don't know. Money problems are getting to me and bumming me out. Same for lack of date/friend life. So the usual.

Wipeout

God I love this show.

It's like the best of America's Funniest Home Videos meets Gladiator meets weird people. The costumes these people wear...

God, my mom was slamming her hands on the fun and guffawing, loudly.

I want to watch I Survived a Japanese Game Show, but that new NBC show The Philanthropist on at the same time America's Got Talent is on. The Philanthropist comes on at 9. Watch it on NBC.com? I guess at 9 I will be watching the Health Care special on ABC. So that means that NBC will just have to wait.

Btw, I watched Merlin, Monday night, totally awesome show. And yes I see the Arthur/Merlin pairing a mile wide. Especially when the dragon mention the whole two halves thing about them. Btw, Gwen being black and the Lady in Waiting to Morgana...and Morgana and Arthur...that's different. I'm not sure what to think of it since it seems the producers have Arthur/Morgana and Merlin/Gwen picked out...but doesn't Arthur marry Gwen and Morgana and Merlin hook up?

Also, I heard back from my professor and the head of the Publishing program. It is back to being a Masters program and no longer just a certificate program. So now I'm faced with a delimma. Do I keep with just the MAIS (Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies) or do I take the superhard Management and Marketing courses that I need to get the second Masters degree in Publishing? It is only a two course difference. But I will be, more than likely, taking both of the super hard courses at the same time since I need to take at least half-time (6 hours, 2 courses) to get financial aid.

I'm debating taking either Management 6351 Organizational Behavior or Marketing 6352 Strategic Marketing Management during this Fall with Intro to Publishing instead of taking Intro and Publication Design. But...I will also be doing an Internship during this time and in Fall 2010 it will be just the two courses.

What do you guys think I should do?

Should I go for it? Or skip it and just stick with MAIS?

Update: Mom overrulled me. I'm recording ABC and watching The Philanthropist, it's an awesome show based upon a real life person's actions.

writing bug and stress

Last night I got bummed.

It's the stress of this stupid screenplay and me worrying if I have the chops to write it.

Actually writing it...has helped. I'm nearly three pages in. Only 17 or 27 more needed.

the pains of writing

It has been pointed out to me ala [info]littleblackbow that I may have been overreaching on my script idea.

Which mean the prof ain't going to like it...but he never says if he does or does not like anything so I have no idea how I'm doing. I think I'm passing.

*sighs*

I wonder if I should even try to write out the story from the screenplay. It seems like I haven't thought enough out about it, like the characters' character.

opinions needed

I mentioned before that for my screenwriting class I need to write the first act of a screenplay. Well this is the 'premise' for that screenplay.

What do you guys think?

I haven't picked out the names of the country or the characters yet.

Kingdom A and B have been at war for generations it began as a love affair between royals that ended wrong. A new king, known for his cold, aloof manner and ruthlessness has come to power in Kingdom A. Knowing that the war between the two kingdoms has only weakened both kingdoms against outside forces the King calls for the other side to broker peace talks, through marriage to one of Kingdom B's Princesses the peace treaty will bind the two kingdoms together. The king, however, has his own plans and instead of falling for one of the princesses the new king chooses the prince. While, actively pursuing the prince the king must meet with the princess to keep up the pretense of being interested in one of them for rumors of assassignation plots, by the other kingdoms fearful of Kingdom A and B becoming a bigger and more powerful kingdom, run amok. Secrets come forth exposing the true source of kingdom B's power, the threats become more real, the new King's power is threatened by a coup, the prince's life is endangered, betrayal and the truth about the failed love affair, that sparked the war in the first place, comes forth as the new king and the prince fight to bring peace to their kingdoms through their marriage.

I'm debating on having everyone have supernatural powers, just the royal families, just kingdom b's royal family (ie the source of their power) or just the prince (and why he is so important).

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that everyone involved are animorphs. Meaning they are humans with animal ears i.e. LOVELESS-like.

I'm not sure which animals to choose for the prince and the king. Got any ideas?
