crazy dog
Gerty was being a pain in the ass during dinner and kept getting up into everybody's ass so we tossed her out for the night to go and play.
Hours later while mom's getting ready to settle down to bed she asks where the dog is. Usually the dog gets bored and comes back and lays in front of the front door to be let back in. Not this time.
Mom could hear her barking and running around. So she got the flashlight and I went with her to find out what was going on.
The dog cornered a possum in a tree in the front yard.
That was it.
I got some pictures.

I grabbed the dog's collar and dragged her back to the house. We wonder if the possum will get in a fight with the family of raccoons that has taken residence of the old fireplace room that they use as shelter. We haven't seen them since yesterday before it rained. And to be honest, that room ain't a shelter from the rain. Sun, yes. Rain, no.
