First off, does any here know what a Houdini is in the Cashier world? One of my co-workers had it happen to him last week.
We also had a really bad customer price check for footwear. This is what happened. A group of people, related, came up to pay for shoes (a pair of $90 fancy smancy shoes) and when it rang up with it's original and correct price, they threw a shit fit the likes of which haven't been seen before. Not even my redneck bb gun guy compares. It's a shame this happened during my lunch hour.
They claimed that the shoes were supposed to be half off. In the insuing madness that occured they accused the footwear guy of switch signs/shoes on them and insulted over four different employees including two managers. In the end, they got their half-off price.
The truth of the situation? They did it. Alan was the assist. manager for Rent-a-center and they were previous customers of his that he had to recall their furniture. So he knows that they did it and that the shit fit they caused was all for getting attention and getting the price they wanted.
Today, I had a semi good day. It was my first day back since my weekday weekend. I went to bed at 11pm and finally conked out in the morning (this damn Drarry story keeps running through my head (the cold case scenario one)). I had to wake up early because I had to go to the eye doctor. The good news?
My prescription barely changed at all! My eyes are healthy too. No problems what-so-ever except for being near-sighted which is caused by being predisposed to it and my extensive reading as a child. I don't need new lens or frames so my non-insurance ass only had to pay for the exam, 59 bucks, oh and he got my glasses fixed. That's right, after two years of having a broken off nose piece and an old stained one, I got new ones.
My vision is practically perfectly clear now that I finally have my eyes looking the right area. ;D
In fact, tonight on my drive back from work (I was closing tonight (I actually forced my ass through my shift since I was feeling horrible), I could actually see a stopped truck's flashing lights from a half-mile or mile away. It was a beautiful night's drive too. The full moon in the air with light clouds, shining down on the ground. Beautiful, I really wish I had a digital camera/video camera. Maybe my next pay check or two.
Btw, in relating to the title of my post, I'm musing on something. Since I'm working about to (hopefully) start school again, I'm going to run low on time to write. In fact, I'm bitching about how little time I have to READ!
So I got a question, I have several stories in my mind, that I plan to write out. Would ya'll perfer the story to be fully plotted out, written, beta'd and complete before I post it or would a WIP with a revision when complete work?
I'm only asking cause I have one nearly complete story, my Phoenix Flies fic that I didn't have time to finish. It needs to be edited (by me) then finished, and then beta'd. Since it's nearly done and is plot related to the books, I was going to wait until I finished it to put it up.
But, my other one's are rewrites of the books and are not plot heavy based on the books. In fact, several canon aspects that are major parts of the plots will be changed. Dropping a stone into a pond will cause ripples with cause and effect results and the past will be rewritten. ;D
Also, for you working fandom fiends, how the hell can you work full-time/part-time and still have time to read and write for fandom?
