A River's water of thoughts

I swear to god, this English class is the worst and hardest class I have ever taken. This is worst even than the Medical Anthropology, class in which I learned all sorts of things about medical science and deadly contagious diseases, and the Philosophy in Literature class I had in which I wrote a 32 page thesis on finding the purpose and meaning of life.

I am now severely thinking about dropping English as a second concentration from my IDS degree. I know I only have two or three more classes...but god I have spent three to four weeks writing this fricking pain in the ass paper and I'm STILL NOT FINISHED!! And on top of that I FINALLY got my instructions and assignment on my Final Exam Essay. THREE FREAKING PAGES LONG!!!

I have to write a non-specific amount of pages on ENGLISHNESS! All using quotes and/or outsider readings (read: more scholary long-ass articles) using five of the seven books in which I still haven't read because I've been too FREAKING BUSY with my other two classes.

I want to cry. I really really want to cry. This paper is late, I've been given until the weekend to finish the paper. I don't like it. Missy says it good...but she's not an English Professor grading on a Masters level...

I'm going to fail this class...or get a low grade (like a C which is FAILING!)!

I hate this class. I really hate this class. I've hated all my English classes. This is why I wanted to be an Anthropologist where all I need was details on subjects not written papers on Literature BOOKS!!!

*cries*

Good news is that I am up to 13 pages...bad news, I still have two more to write and send it off to Missy to read and critique and then I turn it in.

Then I need to get work on my Ethics Essay final, which THANK GOD, will only be about 1,200 words long = about 4-5 pages and NO WORKS CITED!!! NO MLA FORMAT!! And then I have IDS and then...it's the god awful English Essay Final.

I have no idea how the hell I'm going to write that. But I've already made up a plan to write it about 2-3 pages long. At this point, I just want the semester to be over and I could care pratically less on pulling an A out of my ass.

P.S. 2, the Mizzou lost to OU 62-21. The Sooners made history by being the first NCAAF team to get five consective wins in the 60+ score mark.

I have now enlisted the help of two people. The first is my sister-in-law (my favorite sister-in-law and mother of my two toddler neices) Missy (nick name). I enlisted her help because she already has a masters degree and stuff. The second is my friend nick (nick name Kish) who is a writer himself and has helped me before.

So far, I've only heard back from Missy to tell me she can't open the document. *sighs*

This stupid paper is being a fricking bitch. I've NEVER had this much trouble before. I HATE THIS PAPER!!!

Thankfully I am now reaching 11 pages and what I hope are the final stretches for this stupid paper.

While I am writing this I am watching the Mizzou vs OU game. I'm rooting for Mizzou to upset the Sooners. I like the Sooners, it's the team that my Oklahoman relatives support. But I'm a Longhorn by blood, my dad played for the 'Horns in the 50's (he was 51 when I was born), so they are the team I ALWAYS support. Like I do my Cowboys.

If Mizzou upsets OU and Alabama has been upset by Florida than TEXAS can still play in the BCS Championship game!!!

So down goes OU!!!

UPDATE: Missy called, she hasn't been able to look at the paper yet, but she will after she gets the kids in bed. They went to an X-Mas party.

TEXAS is out of the Big 12 Title game because Okalahoma beat them out by 1 f*cking point that was decided by a goddamn computer and the Coach's polls!

The Sooners (11-1), who lost to Texas 45-35 in October, barely edged the Longhorns. Oklahoma has a .9351 BCS average. Texas’ BCS average is .9223.

Oklahoma was a point ahead of Texas in the USA Today coaches’ poll and six points behind the Longhorns in the Harris Interactive. The computer ratings preferred the Sooners and that made the difference.

How many f*cking years are we going to have this problem? A tie being decided by polls and a f*cking computer to decide the championship games?!!

TEXAS beat both Oklahoma and Missouri and yet it's not the team that's going to the Big 12 Championship Game. Oh no, Oklahoma, whom Texas beat 45-35 - smirks in joy at the rememberance of her mother's screams, whom is an OU fan, during the game - is going to play MISSOURI for the Big 12 Title Game!!

Missouri is a pissant team compared to Texas and Oklahoma. This is practically guaranteeing Oklahoma to play Alabama for the BCS Championship Game!!!!

That's not fair!!!! Texas beat Oklahoma fair and square!!!

Texas was the better team! And the only reason Oklahoma is going to the damn Title game is because they ran up the score on Texas Tech and OSU!!! They just had to put that f*cking touchdown against OSU last night in the last 20 seconds of the game when they were already up 2 f*cking touchdowns!!!

Those goddamn Sooner bastards!!

Why can't we just have a playoffs system?!
All the other NCAA sports have one.

...you know if the Sooners lose to Missouri then it's TEXAS that goes to the BCS Championship Game.

If Oklahoma had beaten TEXAS or the it's wasn't such a close 3-way tie...I would be happy for OU since I root for them too. But this? F*ck 'em.

My step-brother got arrested, again.

He ran a red light and the cops ran his license and discovered, shock all shocks, that he has warrants out for his arrest. So he's in jail. And, since we only paid one year in his surcharge to keep his license by paying the fines, we have to add another $300/3 years to that. Because the damn dumbass didn't go for this whole freaking year to sit out his fine for 3 1/2 to 4 days in JAIL!!! And Adam, my step-dad and the breadwinner for this family, will have to pay it. AGAIN! I hope they leave his ass in there.

All of this is because he won't pay the fine that he got for driving without state inspection stickers and insurance. So he has warrants out for his arrest.

I'm guessing his girlfriend and mother of his child wasn't with him since she would be in jail with his ass. She has more warrants out for her arrest than he does.

Are they ever going to get their act together? They already lost custody of their kids.

*sighs*

In good news, saw Four Christmases today, me and mom liked it. Btw, did you know that Dwight Yoakum and Tim McGraw are in the film? Can you spot them without being told who they were?

Oh and in interesting news. In the first quarter of the OU/OSU game one of the announcers made a very slashy comment. He was talking about how the qb was looking to throw his pass, noticed there was no one and tried to run it, only to get his ass blitzed and pushed back like five or so yards. "His drunk buddies left him and he was naked out there."

Okay it's not slashy, but it was certainly a wtf?! moment. ;d

I'm in complete shock.

Texas lost to the Raiders 33-39. We were trailing nearly the whole game and we turned it around with a touchdown in the last minutes of the game and made it 33-32. Then the Raiders got it down to near their endzone.

They were 3rd and down when Texas nearly intercepted it and the clock was down to 8 seconds left in the game, the Raiders QB throws again and the pass is good. #5? catches it and takes it long. Two Longhorns were on his tail and trying to tackle him at the goal line. The Raider shock him off and with one second left in the game crossed the last inches to a touchdown 33-38. He was nearly out of bounds, his foot was inches from the white line.

Raiders fans raided onto the field and the goal post was being pulled down. The Texas Rangers got them back and the tv showed the replay of the play. Then the Raiders made the extra point and the Raiders fans ran back onto the field again. The cops had to clear the field once more and they just got the people to back off the field, but they were on the sidelines and behind the endzone.

Then with the field cleared the Refs issues an unsportsmanlike flag on the offense (Raiders) and they had to do the kickoff from their endzone. With one second left in the game the Raiders kicked it and the ball bounced and Texas caught it, as he went down he tossed it to another player, who as he went down tried to toss it to another player. Instead, the player who caught it was a Raider and went down.

That ended that. Texas is no longer the number 1 team in the Nation.

The Raiders' fans once more flooded the field and the goal post was being taken down and it was chaos everywhere, like a pack of pirates raiding the land.

I'm still in shock.

It was an incredible game completely sold out too (with people hanging in the trees to try to see it as well), but dammit I wanted my team to win.

p.s. I got five sources and I'm still working on my Thesis Statement and topic. I still haven't read the rest of the book, but I cheated to find out the ending. I'm working from there.

Oh yeah... Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour before going to bed.

Another reason to hate the BCS BCS rejects playoff proposal in meetings

It seems that for some reason - bowl money and sponsers - that the BCS will NOT be changing the currently completely f'd up'd BCS computer program to choose a National Championship.

The idiots.

I want the National Championship game to be the game of the best two college teams facing each other. Not just because of computer ratings and POLLS to decide who is the best.

WHY CAN'T I HAVE A NCAAF PLAYOFF?!!
